The hut
A house on the Seceda Alp,since 1937.
The Fermeda Hut stands at 2,109 metres, in the heart of the UNESCO Dolomites World Natural Heritage site and the Puez-Odle Nature Park. No traffic, no noise: the cable car ends at the Col Raiser top station, and the rest is a 15-minute walk along a level forest road.
Those who stay overnight watch the sunsets from the terrace and are among the first outside the next morning, whether on the slope or on the way into the Odle group.

Rooms
Sleep in timber,above the clouds.
Cosy alpine-style rooms with timber walls and ceilings, warm fabrics and a private bathroom with shower and WC.
A room at the hut means: sunset from the terrace and, in the morning, a strategic starting point for the finest tours in the Odle group.

The kitchen sends out local specialities and Italian classics, plus pizza from the wood-fired oven.
You sit in the cosy parlour or on the terrace, looking out to the Sassolungo and the Sella.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served from half past seven. Outside, the first light touches the summits.

Out and about
In summer, hikes and mountain tours in the Puez-Odle Nature Park start at the door; in winter the slope runs right by the hut.

To the table
At lunchtime the kitchen is open from 12 to 15, on the terrace or in the parlour.

Sauna and whirlpool
Between 16 and 19 the sauna and whirlpool are ready for staying guests.

- 18:00
Evening
Dinner from 18:00 to 19:30, then the alpenglow colours the rocks. Once the last gondola has run, the alp belongs to the hut’s guests.


Summer
Trails that beginat the door.
A level forest road leads from the Col Raiser top station to the hut, even with a pushchair. While you sit on the terrace, the children let off steam on the playground.
For staying guests, the Fermeda Hut is the starting point for hikes and mountain tours in the Puez-Odle Nature Park.
Mountain bikes are not carried on the Col Raiser cable car. Bikers take the Seceda cable car from Ortisei.
Summer season 2026: 13 June to 11 October. The hut has not yet published its 2027 dates.


Winter
The slope runsright past the house.
In winter the hut stands directly on the ski slope. If you travel with a rucksack, take the slope to the Fermeda chairlift and you reach the house halfway along.
Even without skis the hut is a 15-minute walk from the Col Raiser top station. On the sunny terrace you sit with the mountains in front of you.
You buy your ski pass directly at the valley station of the Col Raiser cable car.
In winter 2025/26 the hut was open from 5 December to 7 April. It has not yet published its 2026/27 dates, so please ask.

Cable car, then15 minutes on foot.
The hut is traffic-free. You reach it by cable car and a short walk.

At the valley station of the Col Raiser cable car in Santa Cristina.

Ride up
Take the cable car to the Col Raiser top station. In winter you buy your ski pass right at the valley station.

Walk
From the top station it is a gentle 15 minutes along the level forest road no. 4.
Pick-up service
- For stays of 3 nights or more we collect you: call as soon as you are in the cable car.
- Daily from 8:30 to 10:00 and in the afternoon from 16:30 (in winter from 16:00 according to the price page), on request.
- For stays under 3 nights there is no pick-up service. In winter, a transfer from the top station is charged at €20 per person.
Lift times
- Special transfers from the valley are not possible; in a genuine emergency €50 per person. Missing the last lift is not an emergency.
- Plan your arrival so that you are at the valley station before the lifts close. The operator publishes the current times.

Other ways
- On foot from the Cristauta car park (Plesdinaz road) along the “Troi dla Schirlates” trail in about 50 minutes
- On foot from the Seceda top station in about 45 minutes
- By bike: Seceda cable car from Ortisei; the Col Raiser cable car does not carry mountain bikes
- In winter on skis: slope to the Fermeda chairlift, the house is halfway along
Pack a rucksack instead of a suitcase; it is much easier in the gondola.
